Unsolved Cases
Stacy Peterson
What is known:
Stacy was only 5'2" and weighed 100 pounds. She was 23 and the devoted mother of 2.
She disappeared Oct. 29, 2007 from her home in Bolingbrook, IL. Her husband claims that she called him that night and said she was running away with another man. Not one trace of her has been found since.
What I have "seen":
Stacy haunts me so I just had to try to "see" what happened to her. She didn't even have time to grow up before this dominating man came into her life and took over. Stacy's weakness was how badly she wanted a family and someone to love and take care of her … this made her so very vulnerable to this older "father-figure" man who already had children and a home. All she had to do was step into it. He knew every button to push, every trick she would fall for. His ego knows no end and bless her heart she was safe with him as long as she thought of him as her Knight in shining armor but Stacy had begun to emerge into her own person, with her own opinions and her own goals in life. She was seeing the cracks in his armor and this threatened him more than anything she could do. To him it was unacceptable for her to live a life that he did not control.
I don’t see any "other" man as he has claimed. I do see both men and women encouraging her to leave her husband and many offering help. Why didn't she just leave him? Well I see that her love for his other children and fear of what would happen to them and their futures if she abandoned them and this she was not willing to do. Stacey lived for her own babies so much that she was willing to sacrifice her living a life of her own just as long as her children were safe and secure. She is telling me that she had given up living in fear of him and was preparing the way to leave him and start over. But he could read Stacy like a book … in his mind or maybe he actually told her since I can hear it in my head … "Stacy you'll either be married to me or dead, make your choice."
What Happened:
He was a cop and he had killed a wife before and got away with it, so it was so easy for him in his old age to know all the tricks of the trade to get away with it again. From the minute he felt for sure that she truly meant to leave him he started his plan. He planned to get her alone, clear out a day where her whereabouts would not be easily pinned down and enough time for him to kill her, dispose of her body and make it appear as if she was just missing … run away with another man is what he claims. Well I can tell you that that little woman "lived" for her babies and there ain’t no way in hell that she would have left them in his care!! Write that on a rock because that is the truth. He murdered her and I could write his confession for him if they would let me.
He knew when he would get his opportunity because of arrangements she had made for the children to be cared for since he knew she would be going to help paint a friend’s home. He waited until she was alone in the house. I see him using an untraceable cell phone to check on her still being there. He will get rid of it when he disposes of all the other evidence. I "see" him walking in the house in an all dark sweatsuit … he gets rid of his clothes as well, every article and shoes that had trace evidence … long gone now. He wants to be brutal with her because he hates her now but he knows that there will be less evidence available to give him away if he strangles her. I see her in the bathroom brushing her hair into a ponytail when he appears. She is so small, almost child size and he gets her around her neck with a practiced throat hold and lifts her small frame off the floor. He holds her tight against him and squeezes until she falls limp and her bladder releases as it does in death by strangulation. The only bodily fluids that she leaves is some urine which would not be noticed in a bathroom setting.
I see her in something like a maroon-ish red jogging suit or sweats. She weighs almost nothing and he carries her lifeless child size body to the garage where he puts her in a blue barrel with a tight lid … it smells strong of chemicals. He dumps her in and takes a few deep breaths and looks at her almost in triumph … " I warned you Stacey, me or dead. You made your choice." It’s easy for me to read him since he has no emotions that include anything like compassion or guilt and the ONLY person he loves is himself.
He backs the van or SUV I'm not good with vehicles. I see him open the back hatch and he manages to roll the barrel up to the back and lift it up into the rear. Since the barrel is sealed up, not a single trace of her will be left there for police to find … the only trace he left was a small spot of urine in the bathroom. He had really thought this out and once he got rid of her body he knew that they would have absolutely nothing on him.
Now where did he take her?
With her this is hard to pin down and I would like your input. I normally see everything in detail as the "victim" or the "killer" sees it. With Stacy in the container she no longer can help me. So I am left with the killer. I see him driving a pretty long way. He already has the entire scenario planned out to perfection. I had thought perhaps he went up in a plane but the plane I see isn’t the kind that you could put a barrel in and still fly. If he did do this he took a big risk of crashing himself and this man is an arrogant bastard but he's a smart one and slippery as an eel, so I doubt he took that chance. It feels more likely that he had a boat and took her out to Lake Michigan, off of some city or area with a "keg" in it and he opened the pour spout and let water rush in until she and the barrel sank to the bottom and when he was certain she was deep under water and where it would never surface again or be discovered he smirked … "There, they'll never find you and you will never leave me." And he returns home where there is no evidence of even a struggle or anything out of the ordinary and he waits ready to star in the drama of his own making. He is so very confident that he has gotten away with murder that he smiles for the camera and prepares for the publicity … after all he has played this part before!
